Robotics for Grandparents

This is a running commentary on a new course "Robotics for Grandparents" being taught, starting in Fall 2009, at San Antonio's Academy of Learning in Retirement. The course uses Lego Mindstorms NXT robots and a curriculum based on one developed by Carnegie Mellon University. Anyone can comment on this blog; you need not join anything to comment anonymously.

I'm Tom O'Brien, a retired electrical engineer. BS (Electrical Engineering), Texas A&M; MS (Telecommunications), Southern Methodist U. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas. I retired after 40 years in industry, including Space Shuttle and Space Station robotics (SRMS, SSRMS). I'm active as a volunteer in youth Robotics programs.
